Yep, I made cookies ‘n’ cream cupcakes again, but this time for Halloween! And I am SO clever that I came up with that awesome, punny title. You love it. Don’t try to hide it.
The idea came to me when I saw these lovely dearies at the grocery store:
Naturally, I had do something with them. The cookies ‘n’ cream cupcakes were pretty delicious, so I figured I’d do them again. The orange creme of the cookies would lend a festive color to the cakes (plus, of course, cute Halloween-themed paper cup liners)…
And then the frosting would just have to be orange…
Remember, kids: one of the secrets to excellent buttercream frosting is to put that whisk attachment on your stand mixer (you do have a stand mixer, right? Because I can’t figure out how I ever lived without mine) and just let it run for 10-20 minutes. I use this time to do some cleanup, or start my next project, or sometimes I’ll even go take a shower. Just let it go.
