he was the roller coaster
that you go on
right after eating too much:
Exciting until you lose your stomach.
Fun one second,
sickening the next.
Then you get off
and find your stomach --
(but wish you hadn't)
and you wonder why the hell
you went on anyway.
You're a roller coaster, too,
but I didn't eat this time.
The ups and downs and twists and turns
are all in place
and sometimes you get a little scared --
but it's still so fun,
you hope the ride keeps going
and going.
Damn --
I'm glad I got on this coaster.
